Sony Confirms B:TS Censored in Europe
An article by Martin Gaston for GameSpot cites Sony's confirmation in an article from October 1st, 2013
Two cuts have been made to the European version in order for the game to be sold with a 16 age rating, Sony's Ross Alexander explained on the EU PlayStation Blog.

Similar to his previous games Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy, Beyond is the furthest thing from a conventional video game you can possibly play, to the point where people bicker left and right as to whether the studio is even creating games. Instead of shooting the same generic enemies or partaking in some other conventional method of gameplay, Quantic Dream primarily has you interacting with context sensitive button presses and dialogue mechanics, both of which bend the story in different directions from player to player.

Game Informer's Video Interview with David Cage on Tech Demos

In between their games, Quantic Dream has made a habit of releasing ambitious tech demo videos. Starting with The Casting back in 2006, and continuing with Project Kara and The Dark Sorcerer at E3 2013, Quantic Dream uses these smaller projects to test out new equipment and flex their creative muscle.
